Hi,
It’s AMA time again — so anything that’s on your mind that you wanna ask, ask away in the comments. This is one of my favourite things to do with full Webworm members, who are the heart of this community of Worms.
Journalism? Documentary making? Short Poppies? Cats? Podcasting? What happened to Dark Tourist Season Two? Rabies? Face blindness? Immigrating to New Zealand? Go at it:
This also seems like a good time to let you know that there’s a bunch of new stuff in the Webworm store (www.webworm.store) just in time for the holidays.
These include a bunch of new t-shirts by my collaborator Jess Johnson — all riffing on themes and easter eggs here on Webworm. There are also the original Webworm logo designs from my brother Rob, and Flightless Bird tees by Charlie Thomas.
New Tees Now In Stock (different colours also available):
Any money raised goes back into the Webworm world and helps to keep this thing ticking. Webworm is entirely ad free, so this kind of thing — along with paying subscribers — helps me pay writers, and the artists who designed the merch in the first place.
All the shirts, caps and stickers ship worldwide.
PSA #1:
If you’re a paying Webworm member, you have access to 20% off storewide — just click here to get it. As always — thanks for your support in helping to keep Webworm alive and well for the last four years. You make this place the community it is.
PSA #2:
Anyone who orders Webworm merch over the next week goes into the draw to win a custom, one-off shirt (in your size!) hand drawn by Jess Johnson.
And I really mean custom.
The randomly drawn winner gets to tell Jess the stuff they like, and she’ll illustrate a totally unique, one-off shirt that reflects those interests. As an example, this is the one she made for me. I will get in touch with the winner on November 25.
Full Webworm members can hit me with any questions about any of this, or anything else you’d like to ask, in the comments!
David.
PS: This is Jess Johnson, the artist:
And this is Bobby, who helps art design this whole thing, making sure Jess’ designs are translated properly into something you can wear on your beaut bod. He also makes sure the online store is all running smoothly.
PPS: While all the free tickets for Webworm members have gone, there are still a few Tickled tickets left for purchase in Sydney — and The Nova has added a 2nd Tickled screening + Q&A in Melbourne. Hope to see you there very soon!
Hi David,
Long time fan and I’ve just upgraded to a paid subscription. I’m coming to see you in Sydney next week, which I am very excited for! I had bought two tickets and will now be going on my own. Thought I’d offer for you to giveaway my spare ticket?
Thank you for creating such wonderful content.
Lol I read that as "filthy lobbyists" and now that's the one I want 🤣
