Bad ideas: collect the whole set

Why do people who believe one bad idea have to believe all the other bad ideas?

I’ve been thinking a lot about cats recently, after spending a bit of time with this guy:

But first, I am always surprised to discover that people who believe one bad thing often also believe other bad things. I shouldn’t be, but I am.
