Your interview was the icing on cake, so cool to get the background and deeper insights from the creators, thank you so much for that.
It was crazy how something so innocent created meaning within such diverse subcultures. And how the story telling weaved together all the different mad threads and perspectives.
So many great (and cringy) scenes, but the touchstone of the movie for sure was John Michael Greer (the meme druid) in the creepy old library. He grounded it and somehow made it make sense.
Catching up on all the Webworms I've missed this month - thanks for profiling this! And for sharing DocEdge, I had no idea we could access it in NZ. That's my long weekend sorted!
This sounds great thank you! I also love documentaries but no one else I know seems to love them much as me, so I normally end up watching them alone and then bombarding people with facts, questions and observations they didn't ask for for weeks afterwards!
So thankful for you articulate people out there fighting this madness. You give me hope. Keep at it!
Thanks RSM. I have huge admiration for these two (as you can probably tell!)
Can’t wait to watch this, thanks for the heads up!
This doco was heartwarming, confronting, and horrifying. Essential viewing.
Yeah, I agree! A few people seem to think it’s a bummer but holy shit, many uplifting, hopeful moments. And this film’s mere existence is uplifting!

"I’m a huge, huge fan of Tickled and the film definitely came up a lot while we were making FGM."
That had to be fun to hear!😊
(Not to imply that you aren't used to praise, because I'm sure you are.🙂)
Haha, they were just sucking up to me! Jokes aside, lovely to hear and just so happy they’ve made this amazingly insightful film.
