I really really was. It feels like the cloud has lifted somewhat, and I am excited to show this strange wee warning of a story to a new country. Thanks, Beck.
Your Q&A with the marvellous John Campbell after the NZ premiere was pretty intense, what with all the legal bullshit that Organ had stirred up & Sean Plunket had eagerly disseminated.
Hopefully that’s all abated now and you can talk freely about all the devious shit that Michael Organ has been up to since the film’s release.
I saw the premiere in Wellington. It's very easy to think "this can't be real" because everyone is so unbelievably odd (except for David of course). But this is a doco and these people are very real. When Jillian's niece(?) stood up at the Q and A and spoke about how Mr Organ had ruined Jillian's life...it became VERY real. There weren't too many dry eyes in the house after that. Bravo David. You deserve the accolades, and Mr Organ deserves a seat in hell.
Well done David, wishing you a thrilling success with this over there. I recommend this Documentary Film to anyone, David's perseverance in producing this film over something like 4 years is remarkable, I have seen this here in New Zealand and the nastiness of Mr Organ is something that needs to be seen not heard about. Having been at the end of the receiving stick I can certainly vouch for what is shown in the movie. John
I saw it in Philly last October at the film festival by myself! It stuck in my head for several days bc there was just so much to unpack. I'll make the trip THIS October to NYC and bring my husband along. Patiently waiting to see when you will be there for the Q & As! So excited!
David, I didn’t get to stop and say hi after the show last night because I had to catch my train back upstate (that I ended up missing anyway 😭) but the movie is brilliant. I dragged along a friend who went in blind, but she went right home to watch Tickled and Dark Tourist! I loved hearing more about the making of the film in the Q&A. Thank you and thanks to Alamo for such a lovely night 🥰
There is an Alamo Drafthouse in Raleigh, so if they expand showings to all of their theaters then there's at least one NC location (though that could be many hours away depending on where in NC you might be).
Congrats David! This is exciting!! I’m also super excited for all the USA-based wormies (is that what we’re called??) that finally get to see this brilliant doco 😁
Hilarious how they took the cunt quote out of the American trailer
You can definitely not say it here.
(I learned the hard way you can’t say that here!)
I enjoy that this is the first comment on this thread.... and you shouldn’t ever say it. It’s pretty yuck 😂 great movie David!
It maybe not “all cities” in America but that’s a bloody good achievement! Congratulations!!!!!
I was lucky enough to watch it in Hamilton NZ for your Q and A session and wow just wow!! People are in for a ride!
Thanks Cat! Appreciate it. It's been a long time getting it to this other part of the world, but we got there!
Far out , what a dream to achieve! Congratulations
You were so tired and still under a shitty cloud of stress when this came out in NZ.
I really hope you can just bask in the joy of it this time round ❤

So happy for this x

> If you’re not in America — I am working on it.
Ok sweet window seat please

Thanks, John. You're way too kind. Very glad to bring this tale (including Paul's brave part) to a new country.

You are way kind. Please come and say hi. I will update this page ASAP when I have Q&A sessions locked in.
Congratulations!
It's the perfect Halloween movie too.
It really fucking is, right?
Yesssss David!! So good and so we’ll deserved. So happy for you.
A big step forward in the American takeover master plan! Muuuwahahaha 😂
I have seen this movie in NZ. Highly recommended - and the dynamics are universal.
As long as it’s autographed and there is a coupon for a McDonalds burger.
I thought about it actually. I could make a documentary about going to see a documentary where the documentary maker is presenting his documentary.
Yes!! I’ve been patiently waiting for this. Looks like I’ll be making a day trip to Brooklyn for this one 😁😁
Fuckin a! Q&A details coming soon - hope to see you there. Come say hi! I wanna meet worms!

I feel like one of those fans crying about how the band isn’t stopping here in my state. Hopefully NC will get it one day.
Sorry to have let you down. Worst comes to worst I hold a blu-ray aside for you!
As any good fan would do...get on the bus! I caught the Dunedin show and it is well worth it.

We're crying together 😭

I like "worms" but "wormies" is also very cute and I approve.
Digital and Blu-ray this year, perhaps? I am not near those cities. 😭
