I am glad you appreciated my dress sense. And thanks for coming. Seriously. It's a slowburn of a small film, and the energy in that room was just so special. Won't be forgetting that anytime soon.
Stephen Fry!! I would expire on the spot. I bet he loved your flamingo socks, he seems like a flamingo socks kind of guy. Congrats on the premiere, can't wait to see it!
Gah, Philly is an hour from here and so is almost certainly the closest you'll come to me, but I won't be able to attend. =( Bummer for me. But! Thrilled that you're getting more screenings lined up! And Stephen Fry, holy crap, that's awesome.
Also an FYI for the cool kids who have literally never used an Apple product (probs just me at this point): Substack finally released the Android app on Google Play yesterday.
Ah yes I see Android is up - I knew this and forgot to mention it, too much on my brain. I'll note it in an upcoming newsletter, as there are plenty of readers on that OS.
Sorry you can't make it - I get it. It's a mission. I will try and find a way to get it to everyone in the correct space and time ASAP.
kindof chuffed, as a westie, that the Mister Organ premiere is at the Hollywood Theatre in Avondale! such an iconic old theatre that is still going strong - i've never watched a movie there but driven past it multitudes of times. this is a great opportunity to support local smalltime theatre, and your fantastic work 😊
Yay! thanks for the Cinema list David - I will be checking Bridgeway Theatre daily and booking online as soon as it appears. I can't wait!!! Will be great to have you back in NZ too for a little bit....take care over there!
a good heads up David, I was just a little late getting to my Webworm fix this week. Maybe an informal coffee get together at a secret location yet to be named?
I am so disappointed I am going to miss these Q & A sessions! I will be on Great Barrier Island then Waiheke Island from 8-18 Nov :( If anyone can't go to the Avondale screening I will buy your ticket or sit on your knee !!!
My Dearest David, please oh please oh please bring this to the U.K. soon. Please. I will help programme it somewhere. Seriously. Yours sincerely, Pawing at the Window Jem
Was there at the screening last night and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I’d say more, but then I’d be spoiling it.
The shorts you were wearing were excellent, but pairing them with flamingo (?) socks was an excellent sartorial choice.
Good luck with the rest of the screenings!

SO jealous!!
Of the fuchsia shorts? Or having a moment with Mr Fry?
Ha! D. All of the above! (C. being jealous that Susan was able to attend the viewing!)

I *did* expire, temporarily.

Tickets up for that now - see you there, come say hi after, it will be a wonderful night and already I can't wait.
Nice! I'll definitely have to go to one of the local NZ Q&A screenings!
Yay, Village Theatre Tākāka! 🙌

Give them a call if they're being slow - the sooner these cinemas put them online the better. They need to know that people wanna see it!
Fudge. Missed the Welly Q+As. Would have loved to have been there.
Arghh sorry you missed out! Wanted Webwormers to get in first!!

Just come to the foyer after and say hi!
Might have to bluff my way through security.

Great Barrier will still be pretty good!

Can’t wait to see you in Dunedin!
I’d love to see this in Dallas (yes, I missed Austin...) if there’s any chance of seeing this, I’m in!
YAY! All booked! See you in Christchurch!!!
See. You. There.
Congratulations! I can’t wait to see it!
Fantastic - I'm on the American east coast for most of October and hope I can catch it when dates are released in Philly. Fingers crossed!
(Also, those are definitely the correct shorts to wear while meeting Stephen Fry. Good on you.)
thanks David :)
