I know Lachlan! Before d!d!d! he was in a neat little band called the French horns.
I think I’ve probably seen Die! Die! Die! live over 20 times beginning from when they were touring their first ep. If you’re reading this and haven’t seen them: do it.
I may just be that type of movie geek, but I do love seeing the behind the scenes as how those things come together. I'm always amazed with the creativity of those who come up with these things that we see and hear, that I would never think of myself.
And yay for Raleigh, NC - I'd been checking the Alamo Drafthouse website to see if it would get added to the list of theaters showing it, and the last time I checked it wasn't yet available there. Looking forward to it!
Thanks for chasing! Sorry this stuff doesn't all roll out in one easy swoop. It just takes theatres to take notice etc, and LA and NY were the litmus test.
Lachlan's score does come alive on big theatre speakers.
And I am glad his stuff gets to shine, as while I bang on about story and legal issues - there is SO MUCH ELSE that's gone into this thing! And it's nice to be able to showcase that with people who care.
So cool! A window into the collaborative creative process where David turns the weird and possibly wrong of this planet into something entertaining and certainly good!
One of the coolest things I think about making something is being able to give other people something to work on too / a job. It's such a collab and very glad to showcase these other aspects!
Thank you for the showing at the Roxy theatre (feat. some unexpected creepy af paraphernalia near the bar), just recognized myself in the pic haha. So glad we were able to hear you speaking about it. Hoping more folks are able to see it (and hear the soundtrack for it) soon!
Great to be able to focus on the sounds... it was such a wild ride visually, I didn’t pay enough attention to the music. I went at Dorothy Brown’s in Arrowtown where they still do an intermission.... to top up your wine and chat to each other !
This was such a fun surprise- I was not expecting to read about the creation of the Crank and was delighted by the odd custom made instrument. I can’t wait to watch Mister Organ with this in mind 😊
As soon as it comes to Portland OR or Seattle my husband and I will be snatching up tickets!
Unrelated- I grew up in China to American parents, and can relate to SO many of the things confusing about America explored in Flightless Bird. I’ve loved listening to Flightless Bird over the last year and a half; it’s been very comforting to know I’m not alone adjusting to some of the oddities in America!
I’m new to posting but have loved getting to be apart of the Webworm community full of so many lovely people.
Love the score. It's so perfect for the film and as someone who enjoys odd, creepy music, I've been looking forward to the soundtrack dropping.
Also...I'm about to buy tickets for a Raleigh showing!! :D
Woohoo! Glad we got it there! It just slowly moves along as other theatres start taking notice!

Oh, Mothy. I love this. Will send this lil' note over to Lachlan, too.

The score was incredible! It complements the film so well. I just saw it at the draft house Sunday night and it’s been on my mind a lot!
I love this!
I have had it on repeat since my taste challenged work mates left the office.
Just the names of the tracks give me chills - We don't do normal here! (in His voice) Oooo.
It's a fun listen, eh? I like it how the tracks really are little songs. They go places.
Breezing past the lack of shirt for your moderator... are those LEATHER overalls?! I am just chuffed at the prospect.
He's a giant movie enthusiast - and really made that NY Q&A pop. I was on his podcast, too - it was a fun chat, as I like this (interviewing) style! https://open.spotify.com/episode/6XDjEQ8XkPkz9h3gA4NZ3W?si=132c384a8e064f1e
I didn't notice the moderators lack of shirt ... but I did notice David's lack of shorts! 😅

Thanks for making the time to come out! It was a really fun night, and the audience felt so warm and receptive!
This is so good!! I listened to some of it this morning on the way to drop of my son at daycare.
Good moody daycare dropoff music!
I literally searched on Spotify yesterday to see if the soundtrack was up yet 😅. So glad to have this until I get a chance to see the film ❤️❤️❤️
I love the Clamp. Amazing.
It's a pretty cool thing to have in his studio now. Curious if he'll use it for future scores, too. Can't wait to see what Lachlan does next.

Can't wait to listen until I finally get a chance to see it for myself. Thank you!
Wow, awesome work.... perfect sound for the theme! 👍🏼
Maybe Trent and Atticus might be interested in The Clamp? It sounds creepy and cool as hell.

I am so glad that Flightless Bird has made you feel slightly "seen" and less alone! We are not crazy!
