I had the same reaction when I saw this show pop up. “Filmed in New Zealand? Right under my nose?”.

As a bookseller and cat aficionado I must also express my excitement for Charlotte Grimshaw’s mirror book and the upcoming webworm tee.

I think you will like it a lot - honestly, so many familiar places! I too am excited for you to see this tee, too. It's a good one (I am, perhaps, biased - but still!)

I am LOVING this show. We started watching and then kept recognising geography and then of course the rotation of familiar faces in the cast. Googled it to confirm our suspicions. Amazing work on the CGI to film in current circumstances.

Ha! Yes, the real scenes mixed with CG was amazing to see! Like - "that's not Auckland City in the background!)

If I could reply with a gif, I would use the one with the cat wiggling its bum, and the guy doing a little dance back at it 😁

Just finished watching Series 1 at 2 am this morning. Totally fell for all the characters and can't wait until the next series! Massive aroha to the writers and creators, the directors and producers (go Toa!), and they makeup artists involved in this wonderful masterpiece. You helped me to escape from my this world into one of hope and integrity, and beauty. Wow, NZ! What a backdrop! Thank you for a real and engaging interview with another real and engaging genius Kiwi. Kia kaha, Toa. X

The Dead Lands is so, so good eh? Amazing way to showcase fighting in a way we had never seen before. The audience in Toronto was so, so hyped. All class.
