THANK YOU!
Your paying membership really matters.
Hi,
Thanks so much for choosing to support my work financially.
It means a lot. I literally could not keep Webworm running without you. You allow me the time to write, pay guest writers, and get legal help when needed.
If you ever have any questions about Webworm and your Webworm account – the FAQ should have you covered.
Webworm is journalism powered by readers like you, not advertising. It is delivered directly from me, to you (via your inbox).
It's paying subscribers who allowed me to travel to Minneapolis to cover the horrific actions of ICE, and kept all my reporting (like this and this) unpaywalled and accessible for all.
Same goes for all my public interest journalism: You make all that possible.
Because you’re now a full member, you will receive all my work direct to your inbox – including more personal, behind-the-scenes things. You can also access around 800 previous pieces, all found at www.webworm.co.
Most importantly, as a paying member you can also take part in the Webworm community – by clicking this button in any of my Webworm emails:
... or by logging in at www.webworm.co and adding comments under anything I post. I love the community here — it’s smart, funny and incredibly diverse. Please get involved and make some new friends!

Webworm is what I do in-between working on documentaries like Tickled, Dark Tourist, and Mister Organ, or podcasts like Flightless Bird. It’s where I dig into internet mysteries and investigate weird stuff.
The next Webworm might see me reporting live from the ground, worming my way into some weird corner of the internet, digging into the latest conspiratorial oddity, or musing on something I’ve been watching or reading.
It might be a brand new investigation, or a deep dive into the archives.
Talk more soon,
David.
PS: If it’s been a week or so and you’re not receiving Webworm in your inbox, check your spam folder. If it’s not there, check the “promotions” tab.
If Webworm is landing anywhere that isn't your inbox, it's really helpful if you can drag it there. The aim is to tell your email system to always send Webworm directly to your inbox or "primary" tab, as opposed to places like "spam" or "promotions". With that in mind, go and add Webworm to your trusted contacts (the address I use to send Webworm is webworm@ghost.io).
