I was struck over the weekend by how in flux everything can be.

Back in June, two American surgeons told me I would definitely need back surgery to have any chance of getting back the full use of my right leg. As I type this, I have nearly all of the use of my right leg back. It’s been a lot of work — physio, stretching, swimming — but it’s happening.
