Oh, this is great. And the Security alert image he posted shows “privaterelay.appleid.com”. Private relay is a service from Apple the lets app users sign up with an anonymous email. My guess is a fake account was created with an anonymous email, then a VPN was used to temporarily switch the IP address and trigger the security alert.

Isn’t this tweet one of the greatest gifts you’ve ever received?

I can hardly think of a better way to show you're both old AND horny.

ladies showing ankle

ladies bare shoulders

My Instagram was hacked once. I don't know why they wanted my 40 follower account which primarily contains pictures of my cats, but they wanted it.

"I wish there was a world where Brian Houston would value truth over the fact that some nights, at 11.57pm, he just wants to have a wank."

OMFG yes! Fantastic summary.

I was on a Q&A panel last night for Pride, talking about sex and drugs. We discussed how shame and repression are so destructive...

I know he’s an asshole, but this is so fucking hilarious to me. This was almost literally what I typed into google when I was about 9 on the family computer in secret when I was trying to work out being gay.

Loved the blow by blow way you wrote this David. Sunlight on a contorted lie is such great disinfectant. My favourite lol paragraph was this: “If you want to use the “I was hacked” excuse, I suggest waiting longer than 16 minutes. When your Twitter account is hacked, you don’t get it back in 16 minutes. I’d estimate two days minimum, but more likely two to six months. Plus the excuse doesn’t hit as hard when you imagine what a hacker would actually do if they seized control of Brian’s Twitter. I am guessing a solo tweet of “Ladies and girls kissing” — swiftly deleted — would not be it.”

The level of power this man has over his church etc informing his decision making is next level, only someone who has a flock of sheep blindly following is going to believe "I think my Twitter may have been hacked" would smooth things over.... because he spins bs to them all the time, conformation bias.

It takes me back to being in a very similar church that was high control, we worked on a system where we'd be in someone's "12" like Jesus and his 12.....whoevers 12 you were in meant you were in a covenant relationship with them, similar to marriage and you had to tell them EVERYTHING (dissimilar to marraige) Once I shared I'd had a glass of wine on a Saturday night and was taken off children's church!! And I truly believed I wouldn't be safe for the children because I'd opened the door to the devil in my life.....

I guess my point is that he's so used to spouting bs and people's whole heartedly believing him that this chain of events isn't surprising. I feel a lot of joy about this present we've been given.

It’s high time that religious minded people admit that they are just as into human desires and sexual fantasies as anyone else. Not condoning the “girls” part of the tweet at all. If he really was searching for underage girls, gross. I mean I’m 43 and I get called a girl all the time, so maybe it’s also time we stop referring to grown ass women as girls?

Maybe we can now have an annual “Ladies and girls kissing” day similar to Ed Balls day (Google it if you haven’t heard of it, it’s hilarious and much less creepy)

He would never admit that given the scandals they’ve had with Carl Lentz and Brian’s dad after that documentary came out. These creeps are everywhere in these mega churches. They think they’re untouchable until they can’t deny the evidence any longer and end up tucking tail and running away.

It’s funny how they fired Carl over his infidelity but Hillsong didn’t do anything with Brian. I’ve seen churches kick out their founders and leaders for bad behavior. Jeremy Foster left after cheating on his wife. James MacDonald was threatening his staff and made death threats and got the boot. Jerry Falwell Jr. was forced to resign after photos of him and a woman appeared online. But Brian has avoided any punishment which goes to show you the control he has over his cult. It’s insane.
