Anna Mowbray of Zuru - and now "Zeil" - fame.

Hi,

More from New Zealand's richest family and the Zuruverse of Shit shortly.

But first – thanks to all those who read my last newsletter The State of Webworm and had such kind feedback.

A special thanks to those new readers who came on board, and those that logged into their existing Webworm accounts and made sure all their details were current.

It's a huge help my end.

Okay. If you've been reading Webworm for a while, you'll be aware of New Zealand's Mowbray family.

Back in 2003, siblings Nick, Mat and Anna Mowbray founded toy giant Zuru, quickly making the Mowbrays very, very rich by churning out shitloads of plastic toys in China.

Between them, brothers Nick and Mat are worth about $20 billion.

When not making lots of money, members of the Mowbray clan can be found tweeting in support of far-right figurehead Tommy Robinson, going after former Zuru employees who’d dared to criticize them online, and trying to install personal helipads near groups of endangered nesting dotterels.

All the while, the New Zealand press laps up any opportunity to report on how great they are.

Lunch with ... Anna Mowbray – the rich-list high-flyer on the keys to business success, raising a blended family with an ex-All Black and her values: ‘I’m definitely a Scrooge!’

And it is to the helicopter-pad building, All Black-marrying Mowbray that we turn to today: Anna. We last heard about her on Webworm as she led a group trying to ban sections of the internet.

Today, we turn to her latest venture Zeil (not to be confused with Zuru: this family just likes "Z" words – how zany!).

I'm going to turn this over to my colleague, Dylan Reeve.
