No, The Trump Assassination Attempt Was Not A False Flag
Plus the latest on Everlee Wihongi & Anna Wilding.
Hi,
A few updates before we get onto the Trump assassination attempt.
Firstly, the US political career of Anna Wilding may soon be over. Webworm can report that the Progressive Democratic Club appears to be entirely sick of Anna Wilding's bullshit, and will be holding a vote next Sunday on whether to revoke their endorsement of New Zealand’s biggest bullshitter. Meanwhile, I will be heading to court on May 6 because Anna Wilding’s husband James Sved is angry I am covering any of this.
Secondly, Everlee Wihongi is still in an ICE prison in the Mojave desert.
Webworm has reached out to Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peters (you can see my letter here). I have yet to hear anything back. This isn’t entirely surprising, as both men are typically found tightly suckled to the buttocks of the USA, never daring to speak up about anything. For example, when appearing at the United Nations last year, Winston Peters and the NZ Government refused to recognise Palestine as its own state (when 157 of 193 other countries did).
Webworm has heard back from a spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, who said:
“MFAT continues to provide consular assistance to the family of a New Zealander detained in Los Angeles. The type of support available in these situations includes ensuring that New Zealanders have access to legal representation, advising family, and engaging with detention facilities where that is needed.”
However, according to family members Webworm has spoken to, they have not been offered any of those things by MFAT, including “access to legal representation”.
I’d like to thank Webworm reader Benjamin, who edited a portion of my original interview with Everlee’s mother Betty into a 3 minute social media clip.
While I loathe social media (and had to put up with approximately 500 people going “bUt wHy wAs sHe iN aMerIcA?~~!!”) it is good to spread awareness of what is happening. Most people were shocked. And today, thanks to the excellent journalist Mihingarangi Forbes, Everlee’s story is leading RNZ news.

One last observation: Despite the reel getting nearly a quarter of a million views on Instagram (70% of whom were non-followers of mine) and more on TikTok, Webworm got zero new subscribers. It just goes to show you that people are very happy to watch a clip, but it’s very rare they look any further than said clip.

Okay, onto the Trump assassination attempt.
There was a lot to take in on Saturday, including Erika Kirk bawling her eyes out, Stephen Miller groping his pregnant wife (while RFK Jr abandoned his), and about 100 “reporters” posting frenzied clips to social media as if they were in a war zone.

Then began the frenzied discussion on whether this was a real assassination attempt or not. This has been bugging me, as headlines in major outlets keep giving credence to the idea the whole thing could be fake.
Take Stuff.co.nz's headline for example:

I'm going to turn this over to my colleague Dylan Reeve, who authored a book on conspiracy theories, and is one of the most sane people I know.
